Re-download EVERY volume individually after replacing deejay

So, I replaced my difficult drive. Very simple to do, backup and restore using SuperDuper. Kindle app starts, shows me my library (every volume Downloaded), but any book I try to read in my library, Kindle says "Preparing your volume", followed by "The book could not be opened. Please remove the book from your device and redownload it." Apart from it being an utter waste material of time to re-download every book (ane by one), what if I had been somewhere with no internet service? And, "remove the book from your device and redownload". What an utterly STUPID plan. I have to click and click and click and click to become it to do that? Whoever programmed information technology is only smart plenty to display the message? If they know that they demand to "remove the book from the library and re-download information technology", why doesn't the program just do information technology? (That is what is chosen a rhetorical question. The answer is: the plan is stupid.) No wonder this app has 2 stars in the app store1

Wish It Had More Features and Capabilities

I've been using this app for years at present, only information technology's been a while since I've used it for leasurely reading. The past two years has institute me using it more oft for grad schoolhouse. If required books for my courses were bachelor on Kindle and had respective page numbers, information technology was typically more toll effective, easier to organize notes, and allowed me to hands read and take notes anywhere. I do wish at that place were some more features, particularly when it comes to exporting highlights and notes. I wish that, simply as we tin filter our highlights and notes in the app, we could do the same when exporting highlights and notes. For case, if I only wanted to consign the highlights and notes that I starred rather than every highlight and note, then I could do so by applying a filter. That manner I could consign the notes I know I need and found to exist highly applicative and important to my piece of work at the time, while withal keeping the entirety of my highlights and notes on the app in the event that I need to export all of them in the future. I also wish that you could practise more formatting with any notes that you accept. I usually accept to copy and paste my exported highlights and notes into OneNote and then reformat eveything. It would exist nice to at least put bullet points in the "notes" section.

Infuriating

I've used Kindle for years and I have always loved it. Nevertheless, using information technology on MacOS is frustrating. Seven months agone I purchased a book on Javascript and attempted to piece of work my way through it. With no input from me whatsoever, the pages jumped forwards or backwards by 2-8 pages. I didn't click anything, I didn't striking any keys. Then I would have to go back and find the page I was on. Clicking to find the page would besides result in it going much farther than I intended it to. So then I'd take to become dorsum the other way. Then sometimes that would go too far. So I'd get it right and halfway through the page it would starting time doing it once more. Unfortunately, I forgot nearly that experience and, existence decorated with piece of work, didn't accept time for Kindle until recently. When I ordered another volume, this time on Python, information technology was the aforementioned wretched feel. I gave upwardly on it a few times, then came back considering I already paid for the volume and was adamant to get through it. Then I'd give up again. It is infuriating to try to learn something while your app can't stay on the intended page and 2/3 of your learning time is getting annoyed and fighting the program merely to keep the page. I hate to purchase the books twice considering I obviously can only do this with the hard re-create now (with the added inconvenience of not having the reference on the screen next to what I'm working on). I dearest Kindle and Aural and I hate to requite it a bad review but on Mac, this app is garbage.
